Fall Revision 3 (Core 4)

Fall Revision 3 (Core 4)

As the seasons change, Everything seems to fall silent. The busyness becomes quiet. The excitement of summer fades. And soon this small beach town will be left desolate and alone,  as it’s visitors return home  until summer comes back around.

Sunset Revision 2 (Core 4)

Sunset Revision 2 (Core 4)

In the stillness of the water there’s a mirror reflecting the world above, a distorted image of the tall trees that bend and dance in the breeze. Peach sunlight dimly glows  subtly behind the tree line, and gray clouds slowly drift past the gradient sky.

that today I went to sit at my new favorite place, a waterfall off a trail surrounded by trees. I sat alone, but I think you’d like it there. It’s quiet and just down the road. It reminds me of that bridge we’d walk to back when snow covered the ground. But now the snow has left, and so have you. . If I could tell you all about this new place I would, maybe during a late night walk…

Mackworth island Revision 2 (Core 4)

Mackworth island Revision 2 (Core 4)

I miss the ocean breeze in the mornings, When life was so simple. I’d wander the trails of the island, I’d spend my days at the beach. . When life was so simple, I’d never worry about tomorrow.  I’d spend my days at the beach, Smiling and laughing like a kid. . I’d never worry about tomorrow,  If I never grew up.  Smiling and laughing like a kid, I’d do anything for that feeling. . If I never grew up,…

Fall Revision 2 (Core 4)

The burning orange and red of the leaves and yellow as rich as gold, contrasts with the bitter cold that finds its way in the breeze.  . And as the seasons change, it brings a certain silence that is peaceful in a sense, Yet eerie, mysterious, and strange.  . And soon this small beach town will be left desolate and alone,  as it’s visitors return home  until summer comes back around.

Fall Revision 1 (Core 4)

One by one, leaves twist and twirl in the air while tree branches start to show. Leaves delicately depart, off with the wind they go until all the tree limbs are bare. . The burning orange and red of the leaves and yellow as rich as gold, contrasts with the bitter cold that finds its way in the breeze.   . And soon this small beach town will be left desolate and alone,  as it’s visitors return home

Poem Prompt “For the Sleepwalkers”

Poem Prompt “For the Sleepwalkers”

My heart always breaks  when I hear someone say that they don’t like cats. That they are unappreciative  and don’t love back.  I want to tell them:  Cats are just like me and you. They are independent, they want to explore and have their own lives too! And I think there is something  we could all learn from cats. How to give the ones we love space, but be there for them when they need that.
