I thought you’d want to know Revision 1 (Core 4)
I thought you’d want to know
that today I went to sit at my new favorite place,
a waterfall off a trail surrounded by trees.
I sat alone, but I think you’d like it there.
It’s quiet and just down the road.
It reminds me of that bridge we’d walk to,
except that was back when snow covered the ground.
Now the snow is gone and everything is so different.
If I could tell you all about this new place I would,
maybe during a late night walk through your neighborhood.
Just like the ones we used to go on
when you couldn’t stand the feeling of being stuck inside your room.
A feeling I know all too well now.
It takes everything in me to not press your contact
and give you a call to tell you everything you’ve missed.
And I bet you’d love to hear from me,
but sometimes things just need time.
I know better than to rip the bandaid off
before the wound has fully healed.
