Letter Poem
Dear stranger,
Isn’t it weird that we can finally walk past each other
and aren’t at home behind a screen?
A screen that strains our eyes,
the only feature of our faces we know.
I want to say hello,
but it’s so hard to do when we are six feet apart
and I haven’t been able to even talk to my friends.
Conversation seems so unfamiliar.
Isn’t it weird that we feel so out of place
in a world we’ve known for years?
I hope we cross paths again in the future,
when I can finally see what you look like.
But isn’t it weird that we don’t even know
when that future will be?
